Hi! My name is Flynn and I am a 3-4 years-old, beautiful, blue male Weim, currently being fostered in Otsego, Minnesota. I am fit and trim and very healthy but I did have one skin cancer removed, so that will need to be watch for me in the future! While I am not playful with other dogs, I tolerate them just fine. I do LOVE cats, but I like to chase them, therefore they are not a big fan of me. I do not mean any harm, they are just so darn cute and furry!! A home with cats may be something I would have to grow into sometime in the future when my manners are better. When I came to my foster family I really lacked training and I knew no basic ... (Read More)commands, or manners. I am now working on all of that, but I still need a strong owner who has the time and dedication to helping me be the best Weim I can be! A basic obedience class would do wonders for me and maybe even help with my fear of loud noises and water. I do pull pretty hard on a leash when walking, but I am good on the leash when we go running. I run 4-5 miles a day with my foster family. I love my foster family SO much that I simply cannot stay off of them! I have a few bad habits that my foster family had had a hard time trying to break: jumping, play-biting, pawing for attention, and countersurfing if you leave me alone in the house for a few minutes. Have you heard of Weim garbage disposals? It is typically a condition that we grow out of! But I do have a lot of really good qualities. I have a lot of love to give, I am a very loyal dog to my people, and I have a lot of promise. I just need the right guidance, mainly a very strong leader, that is an experienced Weim owner. I currently need to be kenneled during the day when you leave and I must be exercised. I am good with children of all ages, but I accidentally knock the little ones down a lot. I love to snuggle with my stuffed animals and love sleeping with my people. I am very mellow out at night time after being exercised. I am looking for the right family that can look beyond my handsome face and realize I am a great dog looking for guidance in order to help me blossom. There are so many big-hearted people out there looking to make a difference in a dogs life and I am looking for one of those people!! (Less)

Weimaraners need discipline and strong leadership from the very beginning. This is not a breed for an inexperienced owner. Weimaraners are very territorial. A Weimaraner needs to be with people. Weimaraners are excellent with children but should be supervised around little ones because of the energy and size of the dogs. A Weimaraner can live in an apartment if it has plenty of daily exercise.
