Hi there! My name is Flynn and I am super gorgeous, energetic, blue Weim who is approximately 4-years-old. When I first found my way to GLWR. I was heartworm positive but have had treatment and am now heartworm negative! Yippee! I came to my foster mom with little to no training, but my foster mom has been working with me and I am making strides. Because I am rather strong-willed, I would do best with a strong leader that is patient, but also someone who will take the time to love me and snuggle with me because I really love to be close to my people! I am kenneled trained. which is best for me when you are gone because I have a bit of ... (Read More)anxiety when my people go to work for the day. At night I can be left out to sleep with you preferably! I am also a counter surfer, hey I cannot help myself! I have a lot of energy and would love a family that will walk or run me daily. And while we are walking or running, we can work on my leash manners!! I do well with other dogs but not with cats. I also do well with children. If you are an active person looking for a Weim that craves lots of love and attention, please consider visiting me in Otsego!! (Less)

Ando is a 12.5 year old happy & healthy Weimaraner that's been by my side since he was 8 weeks old. He loves long walks, playing fetch, swimming and snuggles. He will quickly be your best friend if you're a dog lover, but is very nervous and can get sassy around adults and children that are not comfortable around dogs. He's very protective of our home & there are many children in our neighborhood that are in & out of our house on a daily basis. This makes him uncomfortable & I would like to see him less anxious & in a home with no children. I would also like to keep in contact with him if possible. He's an indoor dog and loves laying at my ... (Read More)feet as I work. We walk often, but because he's older, he's content with some indoor play on really cold days. Though making this change to our family is so very difficult, I know that having him in a place where he's more comfortable is the best thing for him. (Less)

Weimaraners need discipline and strong leadership from the very beginning. This is not a breed for an inexperienced owner. Weimaraners are very territorial. A Weimaraner needs to be with people.     Weimaraners are named after the Grand Duke of Weimar, who enjoyed hunting with this breed of dog. The intelligence of the Weimaraner has earned it the nickname, Dog With a Human Brain. Dogs similar to the Weimaraner existed in France in the 1200s in the court of Louis IX.
