Skittish female who was gotten by a friend after seeing a post for her on Facebook, Facebook post is now taken down, they can't contact original owners, and she shows signs of abuse. She is malnourished and jumps when yelling occurs or other animals whimper, bark, or make noise in general. She flinches when I go to pet her and refused to eat unless I put the bowel in front of her. Drank a full 2 liter bottle filled with water and shows signs of never being out of a cage before. She is cuddly, hyper, quite, but it is reccomended she be on,a leash because she is very fast and won't come when called.

|Animal ID: 201Lainey (female)|
Hi, my name is Lainey. I am a Weimaraner mix who was left at M'Shoogy's with my 5 brothers and sisters when we were puppies. I'm not sure why I haven't been adopted yet because my brothers and sisters went fast. I am a very good dog so I haven't given up hope yet. I have been diagnosed with Pemphigus which is an autoimmune skin disease. It means I have to be on Prednisone for the rest of my life to keep it under control. I have some scarring on my face from an outbreak but otherwise I'm doing great. I've got lots of energy and a zest for life! I hope you could see beyond the surface and see what a great, loving pet I'd be.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-02-05-00647Rocket (male)|
Approx DOB: 6/24/2008 Approx Weight: 50 lbs. $150 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Rocket was adopted from Furry Kids as a puppy and returned because he kept escaping his family's yard by jumping their fence. We have also learned that Rocket is not good with cats. When he was returned, his nails were extremely long and they are being cut back gradually to allow the quick to recede. Shortly after he was returned, we also discovered that he was heartworm positive. He has been treated for the heartworms and if kept on prevention should have no ill effects from them. Rocket does well with most dogs, but will stand up for himself if another dog tries to dominate him. He is crate trained, but we are unsure if he is housetrained because he's in boarding right now. Rocket loves people and wants to please you in any way he can. Rocket has been neutered, treated for heartworms, is current on vaccinations and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Rocket, please fill out the adoption application located at www.furrykidsreufge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your interest in Rocket. (Less)

Weimaraner Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Weimaraner is a graceful gray gun dog. Weimaraners are rowdy, happy dogs. Weimaraners need discipline and strong leadership from the very beginning. This is not a breed for an inexperienced owner. Weimaraners are very territorial. A Weimaraner needs to be with people. Weimaraners are excellent with children but should be supervised around little ones because of the energy and size of the dogs. A Weimaraner can live in an apartment if it has plenty of daily exercise.
