Rescue Me ID: 14-10-12-00408Bella (female)

Weimaraner Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bella is an amazing American (Staffordshire) Pitbull Terrier (possibly mixed with Weimaraner). She is 6 1/2 months old and around 40 pounds. She is brown with white markings on her chest and white 'footies'. She also has a brown heart shaped marking on her chest. :) Bella is highly intelligent, submissive, a good listener, loves to play, loves affection and attention, is a big cuddler, and and all around sweet girl. She is good around other dogs and NEEDS to be in a home with a (possibly older) well trained dog (REQUIRED b/c she is very social and needs a buddy). She picks up very quickly on other dogs' good behavior and copies it. She is ... (Read More)good with kids but not small children due to her puppy energy. Bella is generally good about peeing outside, but is still working on learning to also poop outside. She's incredibly smart and knows all the basic commands such as: sit, stay, up, down, no, potty, roll over, 'gimme five', back (she backs up), etc. If you've ever seen the dog whisperer, the 'Sh!' technique actually works well. Also, she is spayed, up to date on ALL of her vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm meds, and is VERY well taken care of and 100% healthy. Paperwork on vaccinations and vet records will be given to you. Also, I have a GREAT vet whose info I can provide to you. All of her required supplies (blankets, vet-prescription food brand (Hill Science Diet, large breed puppy), bowls, PLENTY of toys, toothbrush & toothpaste, harness, leash (she responds really well on this particular one with just a touch or a word or 'no'.), dog shampoo & conditioner, collar, treats, itch spray (for bad allergy weather), nail clipper, fleece jacket (b/c her fur is short so she can get cold outside easily), and rabies & name tag. As far as the adoption fee goes, I will give her to you for free, as long as you'd be willing to let me see her as often as you decide. :) Bella NEEDS a loving home with lots of attention, affection, socialization, good training, one (or more) other dogs, lots of love, and OUTSTANDING care. Also, I would prefer if you kept her name (she doesn't respond to anything else anyway LOL). Everyone has always called her a beautiful dog, and Bella means beautiful in Spanish & Italian. If possible, I would like to do this as kind of a 'dog open adoption', as I am still really attached to her (had her since a young puppy). Even a monthly visit would be AMAZING. Overall, she is a sweet, cuddly, loveable, great family dog who I unfortunately cannot keep due to financial issues and going to college. I'm looking for a RESPONSIBLE dog owner who see's the pitbull breed as more than their stereotype. :) Sorry for the lengthy description but she is a truly wonderful dog who deserves the best home she can get. Please contact me at ANY time if you are interested at 314-601-2633. (text or call). Then we can talk and discuss things. (Less)

Weimaraner Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Weimaraner is a graceful gray gun dog. Weimaraners are rowdy, happy dogs. Weimaraners need discipline and strong leadership from the very beginning. This is not a breed for an inexperienced owner. Weimaraners are very territorial. A Weimaraner needs to be with people. Weimaraners are excellent with children but should be supervised around little ones because of the energy and size of the dogs. A Weimaraner can live in an apartment if it has plenty of daily exercise.
