They are sweet dogs that love people, especially children. They are 8-year-old brother and sister who have been spayed and neutered. They have all current immunizations. They are purebred weimaraners and are fully papered, tagged and chipped. We also have two full sized crates, dog pillows and food dishes that will go with them. With an increasingly hectic schedule and lack of room for them to exercise, we have decided they would be happier under different conditions. Do you have the right setup for our dogs? ... (Read More)We are only open to giving them away to a new owner with the following arrangements: 1. They need a large lot or some kind of open space for them run. They need at least 20 minutes of running exercise a day. Taking them for walks is great but not adequate. They are bred to run. 2. When left alone in a back yard, Roxy enjoys digging a hole every now and then and they can be hard on yards. Will this bother you? 3. We have boarded them many times and they have had some socializing with other dogs. They generally get along and enjoy playing with other dogs. Roxy can get protective of her home when other dogs are passing by. However, she would be fine sharing a home with other FRIENDLY dogs. 4. Weimaraners are known to be hyper. However, we were told by a dog trainer that Deuce and Roxy are among the calmest weimaraners they have ever seen. Also, being 8-years-old we have seen them become even calmer. That said, they will get extremely excited every time you return home or when company comes around. Will this bother you? 5. This is a package deal. We are not willing to give away each dog individually. Deuce will have separation anxiety when they find a new home and the only way we'd feel good about finding a new home is if he at least has the consistency of Roxy going along. 6. Roxy has a flap of skin that has developed on her chest. Our vet has checked it out and said it is completely harmless. He said he wouldn't worry about removing it until we had her sedated for teeth cleaning or some other routine procedure. It does not bother her at all. So, you could have it removed or you could leave it alone. Because of the potential expense of having it removed (if you decided to do so), we are giving the dogs away for free. 7. We are really jittery about letting them go to a home with other dogs. We gave them to a family that had a Chihuahua and our dogs had to run and hide because the Chihuahua was an angry little dog. They enjoy playing with other friendly dogs in a household but it's hard to tell the temperament of the existing dog(s). 8. These dogs have only known one home. So, there will be a transition period. Deuce will have the hardest time making the adjustment but I'm confident with enough time, they will adjust. 9. We recently heard of about people who take purebred dogs and then sell them. For this reason, we would want to maintain at least a very limited level of contact with you and the dogs. If any of these items are an issue for you please don't contact us. These really are great dogs that love people and just need attention and a place to play and run. Call or text with any questions. 801-403-5992 (Less) Adoption Fee: $0 Animal Location:
