Hanna was adopted. This is an interesting story, and one that can only speak well of your site. (I hope to be updated as the months go by on Hanna's forever home, so I can add to this happy ending). My brother's family bought Hanna from a pet store when their Daughter was only 9 years old. They didn't exactly consider how much energy a Weimaraner had, but fell in love with her beauty. After three years, they decided that their lack of training and attention made Hanna more of a frustration than fun, and decided she needed a new home. They told us all in the family that they were looking for a home for her and to let them know if we knew anyone who might be interested.....that was in December. My April, they were still hoping to find her a home.....then in June, still hoping. In July, they were ready to send her to the pound, because her jumping and excitability had caused her to tear some screens in their new home. At this point, I knew I had to get involved to find her a home. I posted her on Facebook, I asked my dog's trainer for help, I asked the vet...I pleaded to friends and strangers. I offered to pet sit for the family when they went camping etc, so to prolong the idea of sending her to the pound for 'convenience'.....finally, in August, I found this site and posted Hanna. Within an HOUR I had three responses. Wow! And within four days Hanna had a new home. Success. She is now living with a chocolate lab and his family. I don't know what would have happened to Hanna if this had not turned out this well this fast. (I probably would have had to take her as a foster dog). Your site is great and I hope more dogs are finding successful placements through your service. Like I said, I hope to get follow up info as Hanna settles in to her new home so I know this story truly has a happy finish!
Thanks.
